Generali Real Estate enters Nordics property market with Copenhagen acquisition

Generali Real Estate S.p.A. has completed, on behalf of Generali Group’s GEIH (Generali Europe Investments Holding) Fund, the acquisition of a prime high-street retail asset in central Copenhagen.

This transaction marks the first direct asset acquisition ever closed by the company in the Nordics real estate market.

Købmagergade 39 is a prominent high street retail corner building with a small residential component, located in one of the most prestigious shopping streets of the Danish capital.

Built in 1780 and recently fully refurbished, it spreads over five above-ground floors for a total surface of 1,700 square meters (18,000 square feet). The retail area is fully let to renowned Danish e-commerce retailer Beauty by Boozt.

Generali Real Estate acquired the asset from a private investor, through a competitive tender process.

Following this acquisition, Generali Real Estate will continue to scout the Nordics property market, in order to build a quality portfolio across the main cities of the region.

The company follows an investment strategy targeting the main European cities, with a focus on prime office and high street retail assets generating long-term stabilized
