GARBE launches new infrastructure business unit, appoints managing directors to lead it

GARBE, a European real estate company, has created a new infrastructure business unit, GARBE Infrastructure, and appointed two new managing directors to lead it. The new division focuses on renewable energy, property-related infrastructure investments and engineering services.

Thomas Kallenbrunnen, who brings more than 20 years of professional and leadership experience to his role, will continue his role as managing director of GARBE Capital & Strategy, in addition to the new position as managing director of the business unit. Kallenbrunnen previously managed infrastructure-valuation projects at PwC, leading an infrastructure fund-of-funds and consulting business at Helaba Invest, and working on infrastructure initiatives within a construction company.

Joining him is Nikolaos Thomas, who also will be appointed managing director, assuming the positions of COO and CFO for the new business unit. Thomas, previously head of fund management/operations at GARBE Institutio
