GAM has hired Randel Freeman to be its co-head/co-CIO of GAM Alternatives, where he will work with head of investment and products Albert Saporta, Dylan Lobo reported for CityWire.
Freeman was in the running to be CEO of GAM last year but withdrew his candidacy, citing family circumstances that prevented him from moving to Europe.
Freeman was previously the managing partner at the Ex-Ante Partnership. From 2000 to 2014, he was the co-founder, CEO and CIO at Centaurus Capital.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
