Taiwan-based Fubon Life Insurance has committed €30 million ($36 million) to Copenhagen Infrastructure IV (CI IV), a vehicle managed by Danish fund manager Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
Copenhagen Infrastructure IV will seek to invest in a diversified portfolio of renewable infrastructure assets, predominantly in developed countries.The fund is targeting investments in renewables assets, including on- and off-shore wind, solar, pumped storage and biomass generation.
CI IV completed a first close in June 2020, with €1.5 billion ($1.69 billion) in capital commitments. With a target of €5.5 billion ($6.2 billion), CI IV is expected to become the largest fund globally within renewable-energy infrastructure investments.
