First Sentier Investors names new global head of investment

by Kali Persall

Australia-based First Sentier Investors has appointed David Allen to global head of investment management. He will succeed Perry Clausen, who will retire from the role of CIO in early 2022.

Allen brings more than 20 years of global asset management experience, which includes building investment businesses and leading investment teams.

Allen previously spent five years at AMP Capital, most recently as global CIO of equities, and before that held senior investment leadership roles at Sarasin & Partners, Fidelity International and Pioneer Investments. In these roles, he led teams across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, ESG, dealing, risk management and operations.

In his new role, Allen will lead First Sentier Investors’ investment teams, will contribute to the development and execution of the firm’s corporate strategy, and will also play a key role in commercializing and growing investment capabilities for the business.
