Spanish infrastructure company Ferrovial Agroman, operating through a consortium led by its toll road subsidiary Cintra Infraestructuras, has been awarded a $910 million contract to design, construct and operate an 11-mile road segment in Texas.
The NTE Mobility Partners Segments 3 consortium will be in charge of construction from Heritage Trace Parkway, north of U.S. 81/287 to Eagle Parkway in Denton County, and include upgrades to existing lanes and the construction of tolled lanes in either direction, as well as on-ramps.
Construction has commenced already, and the project is slated for completion by 2023.
The NTE Mobility Partners Segments 3 consortium also includes a Meridiam fund and APG, a specialized pension fund management firm. The concession contract expires in 2061.
The project marks the fourth road project involving tolls to be operated by Cintra in the area.
