EY’s U.K. law practice bolsters energy infrastructure team with new hires

by Kali Persall

EY’s law practice has appointed Dimitri Papaefstratiou to the firm’s newly created energy team in the United Kingdom.

Papaefstratiou previously served as a partner of DLA Piper for the past eight years, where he headed projects, as well as the energy and infrastructure team in London. He acts for major corporations, sponsors, lenders and procuring authorities on major energy and infrastructure projects across EMEA.

He has developed an energy and infrastructure practice, including numerous greenfield project financings, single asset and portfolio acquisitions, and investments in highly structured and complex projects.

Papaefstratiou’s appointment follows the arrivals of Charles Morrison, who leads the energy team as a partner, and Simon Collier, who joined EY law’s energy team as an associate partner in June. In addition, Harry Brunt and Joseph Lam have joined the energy team as directors.
