Dean Kenderdine, executive director of the $58 billion Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (MSRPS), has notified the board of trustees of his plans to retire next year.
His last day will be June 30, 2021. The board is expected to begin the process of searching for a replacement to fill the position in time for Kenderdine’s retirement.
“It has been my great privilege to serve the people of Maryland for more than 40 years, and I have had the honor of doing so alongside so many outstanding, dedicated and talented women and men who have devoted their careers to the service of our state’s citizens,” said Kenderdine. “I am so very grateful to all who have served the State Retirement System and supported me — the outstanding members of the system’s board of trustees, who have governed the system with great skill and fidelity, and the extraordinary employees of the State Retirement Agency who have consistently worked to ensure our mission.”
