Excelsior Energy Capital has launched a new energy fund, Excelsior Renewable Energy Investment Fund I, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.
Excelsior Energy Capital focuses on equity investments in the solar and wind utility and distributed generation middle market. The firm plans to target investments in de-risked North American plants that possess fixed income–like cash flows from long-term revenue contracts with creditworthy counterparties.
