Everfuel, a European green-hydrogen energy company, and Hy24, a joint venture between Ardian and FiveT Hydrogen, which manages the world’s largest clean hydrogen infrastructure fund, have launched a new joint venture to finance the accelerated development of electrolyzer capacity across the Nordics.
Under the agreement, Everfuel will own 51 percent of the JV and the €2 billion ($2.1 billion) Clean H2 Infra Fund, managed by Hy24, will own 49 percent. The joint venture plans to invest a total of €200 million ($214 million) in equity in green hydrogen infrastructure in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland with the goal of building, owning and operating up to 1 gigawatt of green-hydrogen projects.
The JV’s first investment will be in the HySynergy Phase 1 20-megawatt green hydrogen production plant in Fredericia, Denmark. The plant is scheduled to commence commercial operations in the second quarter of 2023 and will contribute to significant decarbonization of ind
