Japanese clean-power company Eurus Energy Holdings Corp. has selected Hanoi as its entry point into Southeast Asia.
It has set up a subsidiary, Hanoi-headquartered Eurus Energy Vietnam, to oversee its expansion in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Demand for electricity in Vietnam is expected to continue increasing due to economic and population growth. The Vietnamese government plans to introduce 17 gigawatts (GW) of onshore wind capacity by 2030 and 39 GW by 2045.
