Etix Everywhere is playing with the idea of establishing a second data center in Thailand, according to various reports.
“A second site is on the table to serve customer demand, as we have to be ready to deliver it fast,” said Pierre Patris, chief executive for Asia at Etix Everywhere, told the Bangkok Post. “We have shortlisted real estate that could be used to serve this demand.”
In January 2021, ETIX Everywhere acquired a 67 percent interest in Genesis data center to form the basis of a new data center campus that will be jointly developed with its local partner Interlink Telecom. The data center, renamed ETIX Bangkok #1, was already live at the time of acquisition with 2.4 megawatts of IT power. The facility now features Bangkok’s lowest PUE, renewable-energy usage, 7 MVA power from dual substations ensuring reliability and four diverse fiber entry points, according to Etix Everywhere’s website.
