Equus Capital Partners to build 350,000 sqft warehouse in Virginia

by Kali Persall

Equus Capital Partners, a Pennsylvania-based private equity real estate fund manager, is planning to construct a 350,000-square foot-warehouse in the Graystone Industrial Park this fall, The Winchester Star reported on Sept. 14.

The development was valued at $22.75 million.

The warehouse, known as Graystone 81 Logistics Center, will be located on a 265-acre plot of land in Winchester, Va., that Equus purchased from Graystone Corp. of Virginia for $2.6 million in June. Located east of the I-81 interchange with U.S. 11, the site will feature a 180-foot truck court, 48 loading docks, 62 trailer spaces, 143 car parking spaces, an Early Suppression Fast Response sprinkler system and LED lighting.

The Graystone Industrial Park offers up to 2 million square feet of industrial warehouse space and up to 1 million square feet of office space, according to Shockey Properties’ website. It is currently zoned for light industrial and offers build-to-suit options.

Construction work on the warehouse is scheduled to begin on Oct. 1 and conclude in the third quarter of 2020.
