Equitix has acquired Balfour Beatty’s stakes in a diversified portfolio of U.K. infrastructure and renewable assets, expanding on a long-standing strategic partnership between the two companies that spans more than 15 years.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, however Equitix confirmed the portfolio consists of 10 assets, including three offshore transmission owners (OFTOs), five street-lighting projects across England, one biomass plant and one public-private partnership (P3) road concession.
Equitix has been active in these critical sectors for more than a decade, with the long-term, inflation-linked, availability-based nature of cash flows forming a core part of its investment approach. Holding one of the largest portfolios in the United Kingdomd’s OFTO and P3 markets, Equitix said it continually benefits from follow-on opportunities in relation to co-shareholder divestments.
