Equitix expands clean-energy partnership with Italy’s ACEA

Equitix, a European mid-market infrastructure investor, has increased its stake in its joint venture with Italian infrastructure operator ACEA to 90 percent.

ACEA has investment interests in Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria, Campania, Molise, Sicily and Liguria. It implements a number of projects to support Italy’s growth, including increasing energy output from renewable sources — in particular, by investing in photovoltaics. ACEA also is expanding in the waste treatment sector, with a view to becoming established as an operator of growing importance at national level. The company is involved in the management of integrated-water services such as aqueduct systems, sewerage and wastewater treatment, serving more than 10 million inhabitants.
