EQT partner departs for new opportunity

by Kali Persall

Matthew Levine, a partner at global investment firm EQT, is stepping down from his role at the end of March after nearly six years at the firm. Additional details about Levine’s career move were unknown at the time of publication.

Levine joined EQT Partners in September 2014. Prior to that, he worked as managing director of American Securities, a New York–based private equity firm.

During his stint at EQT, Levine served on the firm’s mid-market U.S. investment advisory team, which closed its first U.S.-dedicated fund, EQT Mid Market US, with $726 million in commitments in September 2016.

Levine graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also received a master of business administration from Columbia University’s graduate school of business.
