EQT has strengthened its team with two new sustainability hires. Bahare Haghshenas has been appointed global head of sustainable transformation, and Sophie Walker has been appointed head of sustainability for the EQT Private Capital business line.
In their newly created roles, Haghshenas and Walker will drive further integration of purpose and sustainability into the way EQT works, invests and transforms companies.
Haghshenas will be responsible for leading the sustainability efforts at EQT, beginning in September. She joins the company from a position as a partner at Deloitte and executive director of Acacia, Deloitte’s Sustainable Innovation Hub.
Walker, who joined EQT in June, will work with the teams and portfolio companies across the private capital business lines. She most recently sat on the JLL U.K. board as head of sustainability.
