Enfinity Global has closed $164 million in financing for a 250-megawatt solar PV portfolio in Japan.
The financing was made in partnership with Macquarie Capital, the world’s largest infrastructure investor in infrastructure and power assets worldwide, and a syndicate led by Shinhan Asset Management, one of the largest asset management companies in South Korea.
The solar portfolio consists of seven operating utility-scale solar projects and one project under construction, and it has an enterprise value of more than $1 billion. The portfolio is expected to produce more than 300 gigawatt hours of clean energy annually, enough to power 60,000 Japanese homes and offset 35,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
