Enel and its listed subsidiary, Enel Chile, have signed a stock-purchase agreement with two companies controlled by international renewable-energy producer Sonnedix for the sale of a portfolio of four operational solar PV assets, amounting to $550 million.
Arcadia Generación Solar, a Chilean company, owns the four PV plants, which total 416 megawatts. The solar PV portfolio consists of Diego de Almagro (36 megawatts), Carrera Pinto (97 megawatts), Pampa Solar Norte (79 megawatts) and Domeyko (204 megawatts). The assets are located in the regions of Atacama and Antofagasta, in northern Chile, and jointly generate 1 terawatt hour per year of net production.
Sonnedix Chile Arcadia and Sonnedix Chile Arcadia Generación will acquire the entire equity stake in the portfolio held by Enel and Enel Chile.
