Encavis Asset Management has raised an additional €215.5 million ($255 million) in equity for EIF II, a special fund managed by German asset management company HANSAINVEST. The fund now has a total volume of €418.1 million ($496 million) in equity.
Encavis said EIF II has experienced ongoing strong demand from institutional investors for investment opportunities in renewable energy assets. Already 33 percent of the fund has been invested in wind and solar parks located in mature regional markets in Germany, the Netherlands and France.
EIF II has a total generation capacity of 250 megawatts the EIF II, saving more than 130,000 tons of carbon emissions.
“The demand from institutional investors for renewable energy funds remains high,” noted Karsten Mieth, speaker of the management board of Encavis Management AG. “We assume this development to also continue in the future.”
