Sustainable European energy engine EIT InnoEnergy is expanding its presence to the U.S. market with Boston serving as the site of the new office.
EIT InnoEnergy has signed a partnership with Greentown Labs, the largest cleantech startup incubator in North America. In addition, EIT InnoEnergy's new office will be led by former Greentown Labs founding team member Mark Vasu, who has been appointed as U.S. operations manager.
“Solving the energy transition is a challenge without borders,” said Elena Bou, innovation director and executive board member of EIT InnoEnergy. “By expanding our ecosystem to incorporate more diversity and richness, we can ensure that the very best sustainable energy innovations benefit all corners of the world.”
EIT InnoEnergy chose the Northeast United States following an extensive search. The partnership with Greentown Labs will look to create new opportunities for transatlantic partnerships, research and sales.
