€286m mixed-use scheme project secures planning in Kent

U+I and partner Quinn Estates have secured planning consent for £250 million (€286 million/$309 million) mixed-use scheme Newtown Works in Ashford, Kent.

In partnership with Quinn Estates, U+I secured resolution to grant planning at Newtown Works in Ashford on April 22, subject to the signing of a Section 106 agreement and the standard six-week procedural and judicial process. The plans will transform the site into a mixed-use scheme, delivering considerable film and studio floor space, 300 homes, offices, a 120-bed hotel and a 383-space multi-story car park. The studio is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
