DWS announces George Anastasiou as head of real estate Australia

DWS has appointed George Anastasiou as head of real estate, Australia.

Anastasiou will be based in Sydney and will be responsible for the direct real estate business in Australia with capital deployment and execution across the full transaction lifecycle – from acquisition to active asset management through disposition.

He joins DWS with more than 11 years of industry experience. Previously, he was the head of Australia with MEC Global Partners Asia, a member of the Mitsubishi Estate Group, where he helped establish and manage the Australian real estate business and portfolio. Prior to this, he was the investment manager at AMB Capital Partners, a family office investment vehicle, where he oversaw global real estate investments. Before that, he worked for Savills’ capital transactions team as well as Centuria, where he focused on both property- and corporate-level transactions. He commenced his career at Deloitte as a qualified chartered accountant.
