Downing, a London-based privately-owned investment manager with numerous investments in infrastructure, has appointed Andrew Jameson as an adviser.
Jameson, an Olympic swimming medalist and BBC TV swimming commentator, among other occupations, previously worked as an executive officer and special adviser to the CEO at MUFG Bank, a role he left in 2017.
Jameson has held several other banking and project finance roles at various firms, according to his LinkedIn page.
Downing invests in a wide range of renewable energy and infrastructure sectors in the United Kingdom, including core renewables such as wind, solar photovoltaic and hydroelectric projects, biomass projects, energy generation, energy storage and electric vehicle infrastructure.
The firm has more than £1 billion ($1.3 billion) in assets under management, according to Downing’s website.
