District of Columbia Retirement Board approves $60m commitment to Artemis fund

The $7.7 billion District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) has approved a commitment of up to $60 million to Artemis Real Estate Partners Income and Growth Fund’s sidecar option, according to a May 21 investment committee report.

Artemis Income & Growth Fund is a commingled core-plus fund with an emerging manager overlay, the evolution of a series of emerging manager separate accounts.

The fund, which is targeting $750 million in commitments, held a first close with $400 million in September 2018.

Artemis Income & Growth Fund will invest across property types in the United States, with a focus on the multifamily, office, industrial, self-storage and retail sectors.

The commitment by DCRB is subject to legal review and operational due diligence.
