Fueled by negative interest rates, six of Denmark’s eight biggest pension funds are planning to bolster their real estate and real assets portfolios, fund managers told Bloomberg.
Pension fund managers told Bloomberg that real estate’s low risk and stable returns were a major factor in the decision to invest in the asset class.
Denmark has seen seven years of negative interest rates, more than any other country, said the news outlet.
The country’s pension market is worth $450 billion.
