Japan's largest homebuilder, Daiwa House, has teamed up with Capital Bay to deliver prefabricated building modules for new property developments across Europe.
Daiwa House Modular Europe, which was created after the acquisition of Jan Snel by Daiwa House in 2021, will work with Capital Bay in a joint venture in order to market and manufacture prefabricated building modules. The joint venture will result in Capital Bay using modular construction units for its own projects and operator brands, but will also be offered to third-party customers in Europe.
The modules are ideal for residential formats of every kind, including the construction of micro-apartments and senior living projects. They can also be used for real estate used in other sectors such as the healthcare industry, which are primed for an uptake in modular construction methods.
