Cube Infrastructure Managers has completed the first closing of its third and largest flagship vehicle, Cube Infrastructure Fund III, with €1 billion ($1.2 billion) in equity commitments. The fund, which was launched in the first half of 2021, has a €1.5 billion ($1.7 billion) fundraising target.
Cube III secured capital from both existing and new investors, including European, North American and Asian public and private pension funds, insurance companies, and large asset managers. The fund has a strong re-up rate and has also had a strong push in the United States.
Like its predecessor funds, Cube III will invest in the European brownfield mid-market infrastructure space, with a particular focus on the energy transition, communication and public transport sectors.
