Cross-border activity in South and Central America’s oil and gas industry drops in Q4 2020

South and Central America’s oil and gas industry saw a drop of 27.78 percent in cross-border deal activity in the fourth quarter of 2020, GlobalData reports.

GlobalData identified the top-five oil and gas industry cross-border deals in the fourth quarter of 2020. These include The Carlyle Group’s acquisition of Occidental Petroleum’s entire onshore portfolio in Colombia for $825 million; the $61.7 million acquisition of Petrobras Uruguay Distribuicion by Disa Corporacion Petrolifera; Navios Maritime Partners’ $51 million asset transaction with Navios Maritime Holdings; the $46 million deal with Neda Maritime Agency; and PT Soechi Lines’ $23.5 million transaction with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.
