Covenant Capital Group has held a final close of $260 million for Covenant Apartment Fund VIII, according to IREI’s FundTracker database.
The value-added fund focuses on acquiring, renovating and repositioning apartment communities in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic. The fund has received commitments from the Fire and Police Pension Fund of San Antonio and the Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds.
Covenant Apartment Fund VII, the fund’s predecessor, had a final closing of $236 million in December 2012.
