Core Spaces, a vertically integrated real estate investment manager, has hired Matthew Claeys as managing director, head of institutional capital raising. In this role, Claeys will focus on identifying and aligning with institutional investors across Core’s student housing and build-to-rent strategies, further expanding the company’s capital partnerships and enhancing its investment platform.
Claeys brings more than two decades of experience in the real estate investment industry. Most recently, he served as executive vice president in Heitman’s client service and marketing group, where he played a pivotal role in developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors throughout the United States in private real estate equity, public real estate securities and private real estate debt. His previous roles include leadership positions at Blue Vista Capital Management, where he was director of marketing and client services, and at Inland Institutional Capita
