Connecticut backs IPI Partners and TruAmerica funds

Connecticut state treasurer Shawn Wooden has disclosed five fund commitments on behalf of Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds (CRPTF).

The round of commitments included a $100 million investment in the IPI Partners II Fund, a data center fund managed by IPI Partners; and a $50 million investment in the TruAmerica Workforce Housing Fund, a vehicle sponsored by Los Angeles–based multifamily real estate firm TruAmerica Multifamily Investments.

IPI Data Center Partners Fund II launched earlier this year and is targeting a mixture of stabilized and value-add assets, primarily in the United States. It also will invest in some build-to-suit development projects. The fund has a target size of $1.5 billion in capital commitments.

Baltimore Fire and Police Employees’ Retirement System committed $15 million to the vehicle in October.
