A consortium consisting of CAF Group and construction firm Shapir has been chosen as the preferred bidder to deliver a light rail public-private partnership (P3) in Israel.
According to InfraPPP, the concession was awarded by NTA (Metropolitan Mass Transit Systems) for the Purple Line Light Rail Transit P3 in Tel Aviv.
The consortium will be responsible for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the city’s light rail vehicle system for a term of 25 years.
The consortium will supply the signaling, energy and communication systems, as well as maintain the line, in addition to other works. The line is expected to be fully operational by 2027.
