Commerz Real has acquired a 28.5-megawatt wind park in Finland, adding to the portfolio of its Klimavest impact fund, which recently reached an equity capital volume of €1 billion ($1.06 billion).
Energiequelle, an international project developer with a project volume of more than 1,500 megawatts, was the seller of the wind park, which was erected in 2022 and consists of five turbines. A long-term full-service agreement is in place with the renowned manufacturer Nordex. The green electricity generated at the wind park is expected to meet the annual consumption of more than 12,000 average Finnish households.
Commerz Real also owns a 58.8-megawatt wind park 200 kilometers (124 miles) north of the new wind park.
