Data-center company Cologix has been earmarked for a $500 million investment by Mubadala Investment Company, an Abu Dhabi–based global investment firm, in partnership with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.
Cologix plans to put the investment capital toward growth and development efforts across its North American platform. Specifically, the transaction will enable the company to meet demand for hyperscale-edge, super-efficient, low-cost data centers that provide access to latency-consistent, robust interconnection hubs throughout the United States and Canada, according to Cologix.

Mubadala’s $229 billion portfolio spans five continents, with interests in aerospace, ICT, semiconductors, metals and mining, renewable energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, utilities, healthcare, real estate, pharmaceuticals and medical technology, agribusiness, and a global portfolio of financial holdings.
With the investment, Mubadala and Stonepeak will collaborate to support the data company’s continued growth strategy, with Stonepeak retaining the majority shareholder in Cologix.
