A closer look at the back-of-mind concerns of Editorial Advisory Board members

We have entered the Age of Anxiety: global pandemic, rising inflation, geopolitical conflict, climate change and looming recession. It’s no surprise the global prevalence of depression and anxiety increased 25 percent in the first year of the pandemic, according to the World Health Organization.

While investors and fiduciaries have always had a lot to worry about — one of our regular questions at our Editorial Advisory Board meetings is, “What keeps you up at night?” — there sure seems to be an awful lot of things to worry about right now. And although the biggest worries might be “front of mind” concerns, we took some time this year to ask our Editorial Advisory Board members and others in the institutional investment community about their “back of mind” concerns — the “hidden landmines” they think might be lurking in the world.
