Clean technologies such as green hydrogen and electric vehicles could be the answer to helping the European Union’s economies rebound from the coronavirus pandemic, Reuters reports, citing research by Capgemini Invent.
The study identified 55 clean technologies “ripe for investment” out of 200 projects that could help the E.U. to reach its climate neutrality goals, reducing emissions by 871 million tonnes.
The projects include solar module gigafactories, large-scale floating offshore wind, large-scale green hydrogen production, and grid development to enable 100 percent renewable power, among others.
