City of Tampa returns 15.26% for fiscal year

City of Tampa (Fla.) General Employees’ Retirement Fund has reported a 15.26 percent net return for fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, according to board meeting documents.

The one-year gross of fees return for the total fund was 2.85 percent above the return of the Policy Index and ranked in the top 7 percent of the Public Fund Universe. The net return for the fund for the previous year was 14.65 percent.

As of July 31, the pension fund’s total fund value is now approximately $705.6 million, which was up approximately $10 million from the previous month. Through July 31, the fund was up 12.09 percent gross of fees on a fiscal year to date basis, which is 2.15 percent above the Policy Index for the same period.

Over the five-year period ending July 31, the pension fund was up 9.8 percent gross of fees annualized compared to the policy index of 9.1 percent for the same time period.
