by Kali Persall

Hiromichi Mizuno, executive managing director and CIO at Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), will step down from his role at the end of March, according to Bloomberg. Mizuno has been in his role since January 2015.

According to the World Economic Forum, Mizuno was formerly a partner at Coller Capital, and has held a variety of positions at climate-related groups.

His term at GPIF was originally scheduled to end in December 2019, but was extended until the end of March. A successor has not yet been appointed.
