CIMIC Group’s Ventia has been awarded two new contracts worth A$780 million ($588 million).
The first contract is a three-year fiber deal with Telstra, which includes $570 million of estimated revenue based on expected volumes. Ventia’s scope of work will include the delivery of mobile and wideband network services, national fiber optic and IP services, and maintenance and building services to more than 40,000 exchange and network assets.
The contract builds on Ventia’s 25-year relationship with Telstra.
“The Telstra Field Optimization contract provides us with an opportunity to strategically partner with Telstra as it simplifies its business,” said Tim Harwood, group executive, telecommunications at Ventia. “This will be achieved by delivering the highest-quality field operations for Telstra at a lower cost that is based on economies of scale, effective optimization programs and improved ways of working supported by digital enhancements.”
