The Chinese State Council said it will soon start rolling out major infrastructure projects in an effort to resuscitate the economy in the wake of the coronavirus, or COVID-19.
On March 17, Liu Shihu, deputy director of the investment division of the National Development and Reform Commission, called for China to start amping up this rollout. China’s government is planning to speed up the construction of major projects that were previously planned, such as 5G network and data center projects, reported Asia Times.
Chinese news sources initially revealed plans for the infrastructure rollout earlier this month.
