Speaking at the 2021 Boao Forum for Asia in South China's Hainan Province on April 20, Alex Ju, founder and CEO of Chindata Group, discussed how to accelerate cross-cultural, cross-regional and cross-industrial advantages and how to advance Chindata’s strategic layout in the regions influenced by Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) pact.
RCEP is a free trade agreement among the Asia Pacific nations of Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
Ju said the strategy will empower major tech companies with evolving digital infrastructure and also help people in this region to equally reap the benefits of digital transformation. He explained RCEP can accelerate the Belt and Road initiative to achieve a five-way progress in policy communication, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, capital flow, and people-to-people exchanges.
