Chicago Public School Teachers slates $25m for Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI

The Chicago Public School Teachers' Pension & Retirement Fund (CTPF) has given the green light for a $25 million commitment to Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI, an infrastructure fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management.

Macquarie filed fund documentation with the SEC in August, indicating the fund was launched that month. An equity fundraising target was not disclosed for the vehicle; however, the previous fund in the series closed with $6.9 billion in capital commitments in July 2021.

The previous fund, Macquarie Infrastructure Partners V, seeks to invest in high-quality infrastructure assets and is primarily focused on the transportation, communications, waste management, utilities and energy sectors.
