Chicago pension fund issues MWDBE real estate RFP
The $9.3 billion Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund has issued an RFP for noncore real estate strategies. CTPF is seeking proposals from real estate investment management firms owned by minorities, women and people with disabilities. The investments can be domestic, international, or global through an open- or closed-end commingled fund structure or a separate account. The pension fund’s real estate investment consultant, Callan Associates, will be receiving and analyzing all responses along with CTPF investment staff from this investment manager search. The RFP is available on CTPF’s website and on Callan Associates’ website, and proposals are due Sept. 23.
