During the first half of fiscal year 2020, Charter Hall Long WALE REIT announced A$1.4 billion ($940 million) of new property acquisitions in a statement.
Seven major acquisitions were reported during the half-year. One of these was a A$349 million ($233 million) acquisition of a 50 percent interest in a Charter Hall–managed partnership that acquired a 49 percent interest in a strategic portfolio of 36 Telco Exchange properties 100 percent leased to Telstra Corp.
Another was a A$420.1 million ($280.8 million) acquisition of a 50 percent interest in a partnership that acquired a 49 percent interest in a portfolio of 225 long weighted average lease expirty convenience retail properties, 100 percent leased to BP Australia.
There also was the A$165.7 million ($110.77 million) acquisition of a 50 percent interest in The Glasshouse, Macquarie Park, an office development 70 percent pre-committed to the NSW Government on a 12-year lease.
