Charter Hall has appointed Miriam Patterson, former head of real assets at Telstra Super, to fund manager, Charter Hall Direct.
The creation of the fund manager role reflects the strong growth of Charter Hall’s Direct business from A$3 billion to A$5.3 billion ($2 billion to $3.5 billion) in the past 18 months.
Patterson has 15 years’ experience in property and infrastructure and brings a diverse range of skills in portfolio and risk management, transactions, asset management, and investment governance. Patterson was appointed Telstra Super’s head of real assets in May 2016, after almost five years as an investment manager, in the property and infrastructure investment team.
