Cerestra Advisors launches education infrastructure fund

by Released

Cerestra Advisors, a real assets–focused private equity firm based in Hyderabad, India, has launched a new infrastructure fund that will focus on investments in school buildings that are part of a large chain of operators within India. The firm seeks to raise $300 million for the fund, including a $100 million green-shoe option.
The firm’s first fund Cerestra Edu-Infra Fund, was a domestic alternate investment fund and invests in socially relevant education infrastructure assets across India.

The firm also plans to launch an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) sometime soon, according to news sources.
Cerestra was acquired by London-based asset manager The Capital Partnership (TCP) from Religare Global Asset Management in August 2017.
