CenterSquare announced the acquisition of the final phase of the Riverbend Village Shops, an 18,550 square foot, four-building Essential Service Retail Property in Charlotte, N.C. This acquisition is the final phase of Riverbend Village, a master-planned community surrounded by Harris Teeter, Corning Optical’s 375,000-square-foot headquarters, apartments, townhomes and a to-be-built Novant Hospital.
With the addition of this asset, CenterSquare’s investment in Riverbend Village will total 10 buildings and approximately 62,000 square feet. The portfolio is currently 95 percent occupied by several national, experienced operators, such as First Watch, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, GoHealth Urgent Care, Vitamin Shoppe, Nana Morrison’s and Nothing Bundt Cakes. This investment aligns with CenterSquare’s strategy to target unanchored, high-quality essential service retail centers in strong demographic submarkets.
