CDPQ invests $1b in Invenergy Renewables

Caisse de dépôt et placement du Quebec (CDPQ) has committed $1 billion to Invenergy Renewables, the largest private developer, owner and operator of wind and solar projects in North America.

CDPQ’s long-term partnership with Invenergy began in 2013 with the acquisition of a stake in a portfolio of operating wind farms. A year after the initial commitment, CDPQ acquired a direct stake in Invenergy, increasing its exposure to the development of renewable energy projects. In the ensuing years, CDPQ has gradually expanded its investments in the company. The latest investment will help support Invenergy in its expanded development activities and continued growth.
