CBRE has appointed a new vice chairman, Drew Anderman, for its U.S. Debt and Structured Finance business in New York City, according to a news release Jan. 29.
During his 25-year career, Anderman has closed more than $90 billion in commercial real estate deals. He spent 11 years at Meridian Capital Group, where he led the brokerage teams. At Meridian Capital, he assembled a $1.2 billion construction loan for Eleventh, a $1.2 billion acquisition loan for 1285 Avenue of the Americas, and arranged a joint venture equity to acquire the air rights above Grand Central Station.
“I am eager to join this dynamic organization and spearhead the growth of CBRE’s debt and structured finance business. My focus will be on leveraging and expanding our existing capabilities to deliver innovative and exceptional financing solutions for our clients,” said Anderman in the release.
Before joining Meridian, he held leadership positions at Nomura, Deutsche Bank, CIBC and Credit
